STANDARD, Ill. – A small quake in a small town.
A 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook the village of Standard in eastern Putnam County, just before 4:45 A.M. Wednesday. The quake went as deep as nearly three miles in the ground.
A map shows tremors were felt throughout northern and central Illinois, going as far north as Janesville, WI and as far south as Springfield, IL.
No injuries or damage has been reported so far.
