OAK BROOK, Ill. — Shots rang out in a Chicago-area mall full of Christmas shoppers Thursday night, injuring four people.
The incident at Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, Illinois, began just before 6 p.m. with two people shooting at each other in an outdoor corridor.
Police Chief James Kruger said none of the injuries were life-threatening. Three of the people who were shot may have been hit by ricocheting bullets.
Two of three suspects are in custody.
Shoppers reportedly took cover in stores and dressing rooms during the incident.
