CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton has COVID-19.
Stratton said on social media she tested positive, has mild symptoms, and will isolate as she recovers.
Stratton — in her first term as Lieutenant Governor — says she is thankful to have been vaccinated and to have received a booster shot.
Medical experts have said that while no COVID vaccine is perfect, they can help lessen symptoms, if not fully protect you from the Coronavirus.
This news comes as the Illinois General Assembly will be scaling back legislative session days next month due to the pandemic.
A number of committee meetings already happen virtually.
I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have mild symptoms and will isolate as I recover.
I’m so relieved to be fully vaccinated and boosted. If you have yet to do so, please get vaccinated, your booster and wear a mask.
I appreciate your prayers and good vibes!
