Peoria is in for a rough winter if the Farmer’s Almanac is correct.
The Farmers’ Almanac released its annual extended forecast for winter 2019-2020. The Almanac is predicting a “freezing, frigid, and frosty” winter for most of the country.
In Peoria last January 30, the high temperature was minus-6. The almanac is predicting a similar pattern this winter in late January.
Last year’s annual prediction called for a long, snowy winter, and unfortunately it turned out to be correct. The Farmers’ Almanac promises the upcoming 2019-2020 season will be “another wild ride” with frigid temperatures and “hefty snowfalls” affecting a majority of the country.
