On Friday, ShaZam racing will hold the 2nd annual Peoria Beer Mile event, impacting downtown traffic starting at 6:00 p.m.
The runners will run a quarter mile loop that will be barricaded off in the alleyway of Commercial Street, Walnut Street, and Water Street between the intersection of Walnut and the Bob Michael Bridge.
The runners will loop four times to complete a mile run.
The event is expected to go four hours because runners will be separated into different groups and run at different times.

Walnut will also be shut down at Commercial.
The race will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The intersections of Water and the Bob Michael Bridge, and Commercial and Walnut will be impacted approximately 6:00-8:00 p.m.
