PEORIA, Ill. – The cause of a fire Wednesday night in Peoria is under investigation.
Crews were called just after 8 p.m. to a home on W. Marquette Street, near S. Stanley, finding smoke and flames coming from a second story window.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Scott Strum says the bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly and no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $25,000.
