PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria home had to be demolished early Saturday morning after a fire on W. Malone.
Just before 7 a.m., firefighters found smoke and flames coming from windows on the first and second floor. A search found no one inside the home.
Fire Battalion Chief Scott Strum said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage was estimated at $30,000.
No firefighter injuries were reported at the scene.
