DUNLAP, Ill. – Firefighters from Dunlap and three other area departments responded to a fire at Dunlap High School.
The fire was reported around 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
According to a post on the Dunlap High School Facebook page, the fire started in an HVAC unit in the auxiliary gym.
The Dunlap boys basketball game against Morton in the main gym was stopped and everyone inside the building was evacuated. However, the game resumed after the evacuation.
However, a theater performance of “Anastasia” was canceled. The Facebook post indicated tickets for Saturday evening’s performance will be honored during Sunday’s 2 p.m. matinee.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters from Chillicothe, Princeville and Brimfield also responded to the fire.
