PEORIA, Ill. – The jury considering the fate of a Peoria man charged with one of the city’s first homicides of 2021 has deadlocked.
That’s according to our news partner 25 News. A judge Friday night then declared a mistrial in the case of Marvin Sanders, 32.
Sanders is charged with First-Degree Murder for the death of Jevon Gillam, 31, outside a gas station near Southwest Adams and South Easton in late-January, 2021.
A new trial could now take place as soon as May 9th. Sanders remains jailed.
