WASHINGTON, D.C. (Fox News) — U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at the White House Tuesday morning, reminding families of the importance of filing their taxes, so that that they can receive the second half of their Child Tax Credit.
Harris said the Child Tax Credit’s impact is “historic”.
“These tax credits are already making a difference. In fact, thanks to the Child Tax Credit, we are on a path to cut child poverty by 40%,” Harris said.
The vice president added, “Our work will be worth it. Because every family we lift up, we lift up our entire nation.”
The White House claims America is seeing its lowest child poverty levels on record.
