PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police have arrested a man accused of killing two women in separate shootings in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.
Police had been searching for Robert White, 27, since shortly after the shootings on SW Adams Street and Martin Luther King Drive, and he was taken into custody Wednesday following a tip on his whereabouts.
White faces two counts each of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery, and remains jailed on $1 million bond. He made a court appearance Thursday, and will be back in court April 14th, with a trial starting as soon as April 25th.
Daniela Jackson, 33, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at her home on SW Adams, while Bridget Ross, 35, was fatally shot on Martin Luther King Drive.
Two men were also wounded in each of the shootings.
Police are still investigating the homicides.
