PEORIA, Ill. – Multiple people were sent to the hospital after a carbon monoxide leak Monday morning at a Peoria business.
25 News reports that first responders arrived at Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. just before 10:30 A.M. on reports that a woman fainted.
Limestone Fire Chief Dale Hoerr says 12 other people were feeling nauseous and had headaches over the prior hour and a half.
It was determined a furnace went out and was pushing CO into the building.
Hoerr says the building is being aired out and shut down until it can be looked at, but the business’ shop can remain open.
