PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria teenager previously being charged as an adult for murder has now been indicted by a county grand jury.
Court records indicate Byron Jarvis, 14, faces two counts of Murder, for which formal charges were filed Tuesday.
Jarvis allegedly opened fire on Dahvie Brown-Bey, 17, last August near Wisconsin and Kansas.
At least three of Jarvis’ shots allegedly hit the victim at point blank range.
Jarvis remains in custody, and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
