Resident escapes S. Peoria fire. Here’s what we know

PEORIA, Ill. – Firefighters were called to a South Peoria home Wednesday night.

Crews arrived just after 9:30 p.m., finding smoke coming from the home on W. Ann Street, near S. Laramie.

A resident of the home got out safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

Damage was estimated at $25,000.
