PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University is receiving grant money for improvements to two buildings on campus.
The university announced on Wednesday it has received more than $14.8 million in capital grants from the Illinois Board of Higher Education to fund the projects.
The first involves work at the Olin Hall laboratories. The upgrades include renovated labs, classrooms, and equipment. It will also feature enhancements to safety and energy efficiency.
The other project involves the Williams Dining Hall. The work will replace the existing kitchen and dining space with additional seating and full ADA accessibility. The expanded area will allow for allergen-specific prep spaces, bigger salad bars, and expanded sustainability features.
President Stephen Standifird thanked central Illinois state legislators for their efforts in helping secure the grant funding.
Construction is expected to start in Olin Hall this summer.
