JOLIET, Ill. – The girlfriend of the man who murdered seven of his family members in Joliet earlier this week has been arrested.
Fox News says 21-year-old Kyleigh Cleveland-Singleton has been charged with obstruction of justice in regard to the investigation into the homicides.
According to Joliet Police, Cleveland-Singleton lied to investigators in order to prevent the arrest of her boyfriend Romeo Nance, who is accused of shooting to death his mom, aunt, uncle and four siblings at two locations, before fleeing to Texas, where Nance died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as U.S. Marshalls closed in on him.
Police have no motive yet for the killings.
The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Cleveland-Singleton with one felony count of Obstructing Justice. She is being held in the Will County Jail.
