PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman will be sentenced in April after pleading guilty to a reduced charge for a fentanyl-related death.
Peoria County Court records show Angela Price died in August of 2022, after she was given a deadly dose of fentanyl by 59-year-old Sharon Lucy.
Lucy was scheduled to stand trial on Monday, but prosecutors dismissed a drug-induced homicide charge, a Class X felony which could have resulted in a 30-year prison sentence.
Lucy now faces up to 15 years in prison for delivering a controlled substance. She’s scheduled to be sentenced April 4.
