WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States intends to launch additional strikes against Iran-backed groups in the Mideast.
John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House, tells Fox News, “There will be additional responses [and] actions taken by the administration against the IRGC and these groups that they are backing.”
The U.S. began retaliatory strikes on Friday, six days after an Iran-backed attack killed three American soldiers and injured dozens of others.
President Biden signed off on the attack that targeted facilities in Iraq & Syria used by the IRGC & affiliated militia groups.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has declined to say if strikes inside Iran were on or off the table.
U.S. Central Command conducted a self-defense strike on Sunday against a Houthi anti-ship cruise missile prepared to launch against ships in the Red Sea. The day before, British & American forces joined together to attack 36 Houthi targets in Yemen.
