Starting Tuesday Sept. 3, the city of Peoria Community Development Department will launch the 3rd annual 100 Blocks In 100 Days initiative.
Over 100 days, the Code Enforcement Inspector will go door to door and introduce themselves to residents.
At the end of the 100 day period, the staff will have covered over 100 blocks throughout Peoria.
The initiative will provide residents with the opportunity to speak to their Code Enforcement Inspectors. Residents can share suggestions, comments, or concerns about their neighborhood.
The idea for the program not only promotes building relationships, but to also show members of the community how the Community Development Department impacts maintaining property values, public safety, as well as quality of life.
