PEORIA, Ill. – Average gas prices in Peoria have risen 17 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.43 on Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 148 stations in Peoria.
Peoria’s prices are 33.7 cents higher than a month ago, and 11.6 cents lower than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday was priced at $3.29 a gallon, while the most expensive gas was $3.55, a difference of 26 cents a gallon. The lowest price in Illinois on Sunday was $2.91 a gallon, while the most expensive gas was $4.69.
The national average price for unleaded gas has risen 8.7 cents in the last week, averaging $3.26 on Monday. The national average is up 16.7 cents from a month ago, and 11.6 cents lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy.
Meanwhile, AAA says the Peoria-Pekin metro area’s average gas price on Monday was $3.45, Illinois’ average price was $3.50 and the national average price for unleaded gas was $3.27 a gallon.
