PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria Firefighter who allegedly got into trouble for drunk driving with another department several years ago is now in trouble for allegedly doing it again.
Peoria County Jail records indicate while he’s since been released, Caden Davis, 22, was arrested Sunday by Illinois State Police on two traffic offenses and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Peoria Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger says the situation with Davis as a firefighter and any disciplinary action is being handled per the union contract.
Davis, almost two years ago, allegedly got behind the wheel of a Bartonville Fire truck in order to respond to an unresponsive child.
25 News reports Davis was put on six months’ probation at that time.
