PEORIA, Ill. – Inspiration and ideas for home projects to tackle can be found at the Peoria Civic Center this weekend.
The center’s exhibit halls will host the annual Peoria Spring Home Show, hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Peoria. The show runs from Friday to Sunday.
Executive Director Lisa Scott says the show will feature around 150 exhibitors this year, featuring products from roofing to siding to carpeting and more.
She says not only will people get to see the latest trends and innovations in home improvement, but get a chance to talk to the people behind them.
“They’re all busy, they’re hard to get a hold of these days to get your project done or scheduled, so you can come down here and see them face-to-face, check their schedule, see what they’re able to do, set up an appointment,” Scott said. “It’s just really that opportunity to not just shop their products, but also to talk to the experts.”
Scott expects around 10,000 people to attend all three days of the show.
She says in addition to home improvement booths, there’s a variety in stage entertainment this year. All three days will feature presentations from the Midwest Garden Gal, storm chaser Nick Bartholomew, and Nature Nick’s Animal Adventures.
Tickets for adults are $7, and seniors 60 and older $3, with kids under 18 admitted for free.
