LEXINGTON, Ill. – At least one person is dead following what Illinois State Police calls an officer-involved shooting in McLean County.
Troopers say it was first spotted around 12:45 Saturday afternoon on Interstate 55 near Lexington.
Two vehicles had pulled off to the side of the road, and shots were reportedly fired at one of them.
When troopers arrived, they say they exchanged gunfire with a suspect, and that suspect ended up dead.
