JUPITER, Fla. – A hazardous materials team and fire trucks were sent to the Florida home of Donald Trump, Jr., Monday night, after he opened mail and discovered white powder inside an envelope.
FOX News reports law enforcement can’t yet verify what substance was found in the envelope.
Both Secret Service and Palm Beach County sheriffs deputies responded to Trump, Jr.’s home, shared with Kimberly Guilfoyle. The letter also allegedly contained a death threat.
Hazmat crews inspected, and no one was immediately hurt. Authorities do not believe the substance was deadly.
According to FOX, this not the first time Trump family members have been threatened with letters containing unknown materials.
The hoaxes are reminiscent of the 2001 anthrax attacks that happened not long after the September 11th terror attacks. Five people were killed.
Trump, Jr. claimed in an interview it’s at least the second time he was targeted.
