PEORIA, Ill. – A home in South Peoria was damaged by a fire early Tuesday evening – and it’s believed to be arson.
Peoria Fire crews say a passerby walked in to the station just before 6 p.m. reporting they could see smoke coming out of the house behind the station.
Officials say the one-and-a-half story home on West Howett was vacant, and the fire was put out, but not before investigators found multiple points of origin.
No one was hurt, and $10,000 in damage was done.
