PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called just after 6 p.m. Sunday to the area of Grinnell and Griswold after two ShotSpotter alerts indicated six rounds were fired.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the hand. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police Chief Eric Echevarria at the scene told 25 News no arrests have been made.
“We need to be better than this, we need to come together. If you know who did this, please bring that information forward,” Echevarria said.
