PEORIA, Ill. – At least $20,000 in damage was done to a home by an accidental fire Saturday afternoon.
That’s what Peoria Firefighters say, after crews were called to the home on East Maywood in the city’s East Bluff area just after 2:00 p.m.
The home had some heavy smoke coming from a second-floor window when crews arrived, but crews learned that everyone was able to get out safely, and the fire was able to be put out.
Four residents are receiving Red Cross assistance and are currently displaced.
No one was hurt.
