SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – One of Illinois’ multi-state lotteries is inching closer to a billion dollar payday.
No one won Friday night’s $815 million Mega Millions jackpot. The amount rolls over to an estimated $875 million for the next drawing on Tuesday night, which currently sits as the 6th largest prize in the game’s history.
The cash option value with that amount is more than $413 million.
One ticket sold in New York matched all five white ball numbers for a $1 million prize.
There’s a second chance at a big jackpot this weekend, with the $600 million top prize in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing. The take home cash value in that game is nearly $286 million.
