PEORIA, Ill. – The most recent two out of five people who have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that left one person dead have been indicted by a grand jury.
Counts of Armed Robbery are being filed against both Tanarius Kingcade, 18, and Jonathan Williams, 19.
The two allegedly helped try and rob Marcus Whitehead, 18, of Bloomington back in January, as he and another man came to town to look at a car posted to Facebook Marketplace that later turned out to be non-existent.
Whitehead died when gunshots were fired, and another man involved in the melee isn’t being charged after it was learned he was carrying his weapon legally.
Kingcade and Williams remain jailed, and will be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
Three others arrested are also awaiting future court dates.
