PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has already pleaded not guilty after being indicted this week by a grand jury for a shooting a month ago.
Nehemiah Garner, 19, entered the plea Wednesday, a day after being charged by the grand jury on felony counts of Aggravated Battery and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Garner allegedly shot a 17-year-old in mid-February near Antoinette and Idaho, leaving the teen with serious injuries
He was found not long after at another location.
Garner remains in jail, and is scheduled for a trial as soon as April 29th.
