PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating two separate homicides from the weekend in the same area.
Peoria Police say both incidents occurred on the 3400-block of W. Fallen Oak Lane, in the area of the Lexington Hills Apartments.
The first was called in just after 10:15 P.M. Saturday, where police responded to a call of a male shot.
Officers located an adult male with a graze wound to his back, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. They then found another adult male with an apparent gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second incident occurred Sunday just before 1:45 A.M., where police responded to a call of a female not breathing.
Officers found an adult female with apparent stab wounds and other trauma injuries when they arrived. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the victims are not known at this time. The Peoria County Coroner will release that information, along with the causes of death.
