PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters responded to a house fire just before 1 a.m. Thursday in the area of Haungs Avenue and NE Adams Street.
Crews found smoke and fire in the front room of the home. The fire was extinguished in less than 15 minutes.
Fire officials said a search of the home found no one inside. It’s unknown if the home was occupied or vacant.
An investigator determined the cause of the fire was arson.
No firefighters injuries were reported.
Damage was estimated at $50,000.
