Peoria Public Schools has approved a 3-percent raise for Superintendent Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat, and a $5,000 merit-based bonus.
The PPS School Board voted 4-2 in favor of the pay raise Monday night. Board members Dan Walther and Chase Klaus voted against the raise, which is contractual.
During the 2017-2018 school year, Kherat earned just under $250,000.
In January, the school board approved a five-year contract extension, giving Kherat a salary of $260,000 a year, or $1.3 million over five years.
Kherat has been superintendent of Peoria Public Schools since July 2015.
