PEORIA, Ill. – A man is in critical condition after a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Peoria.
Peoria Police say officers were dispatched to Green Street between Adams and Jefferson just after 12:45 P.M., where they found a 41-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Several shell casings were found nearby. Police say witnesses reported multiple shooters in the area.
During the course of an investigation, officers learned that a confrontation between a group of people occurred and shots were fired.
There are currently no suspects as Peoria Police continue to investigate.
