PEORIA, Ill. – Police are asking motorists to be mindful of lane restrictions on War Memorial Drive for Peoria Public Schools graduation ceremonies on Saturday at Peoria Stadium.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, the right lane of westbound War Memorial Drive at New York Avenue will be blocked, and traffic will only be able to turn in and out of the stadium from the left lane.
Peoria Police say no parking will be allowed on New York Avenue between Lake Avenue
and War Memorial Drive, which will be used to access the main parking lot north of the football field.
The ceremonies are expected to begin at 11 a.m.. for Peoria Central High School and 4 p.m. for Richwoods High School.
PPS says parking will be limited and carpooling is highly encouraged for those attending graduation.
The War Memorial Drive lane restrictions are expected to last until 7 p.m.
