BARTONVILLE, Ill. – Elmwood Police have arrested a student who allegedly threatened to shoot up a school.
Bartonville Police say officers were dispatched to the Special Education Association of Peoria County building just after 10:45 A.M. Friday.
A student had reportedly told a social worker he was upset about a previous altercation and wanted to shoot students at Elmwood High School.
Elmwood Police responded and arrested him after an interview.
Bartonville Police say the student and his belongings were searched and no weapon was found.
Elmwood Police searched the student’s home and determined he did not have access to a gun.
