PEORIA, Ill. – Two teenagers were arrested on weapons charges after a traffic stop in Peoria Friday night.
Peoria Police say the stop occurred just before 9:00 P.M. in the area of Wayne and Adams Streets, with an adult and four juveniles inside.
All five were detained during a search of the vehicle, with police reportedly finding two handguns inside the vehicle.
A 17-year-old male and 16-year-old male were arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possessing a Handgun Under 21, and No FOID.
Both were taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
