PEORIA, Ill. – A group of teenagers were caught allegedly breaking into a vehicle in Peoria early Friday morning.
Peoria Police responded to University, between Columbia Terrace and Russell, just after 1:30 A.M. on reports of four juveniles trying to break into a vehicle.
Officers found a group of juveniles matching the description of the subjects in the area of Underhill and Armstrong.
The group fled on foot. Two of the four, both 15-year-old males, were taken into custody after a brief chase. The other two were not located.
Both were issued citations for curfew violations, while one of them was arrested on charges of Attempted Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Obstructing a Police Officer.
He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
