PEORIA, Ill. – A 16-year-old was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after being shot in Peoria.
Peoria Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says the shooting happened on W. Huntington Drive around 4:45 p.m.
Officers found the 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his upper chest and shoulder area. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to police.
PPD has no suspects at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
