PEORIA, Ill. – A teenage girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries after reportedly being shot early Thursday morning in South Peoria.
Peoria Police say 56 shots were fired in four different alerts in the area of Richard Pryor Place and Romeo B Garrett, just after midnight.
Officers were notified en route of a 17-year-old girl struck by gunfire.
She was located in the area the shots were fired with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.
Police currently do not have any suspects and are investigating.

The girl was shot in the leg and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Peoria Police have not released any suspect information and are still investigating.
