PEORIA, Ill. – A teenager who allegedly fled after an incident in Peoria’s East Bluff where a kid was shot in the head has been found and arrested.
The incident occurred Sunday afternoon in the area of Indiana and Kansas where an eight-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries after an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
26-year-old Micah Stitts was arrested with Endangering the Health and Life of a Child in the incident.
Peoria Police says the whereabouts of the 17-year-old male who fled the scene was developed Wednesday, and was taken into custody in the area of the shooting just after 3:15 P.M.
The 17-year-old was charged with Reckless Discharge, Reckless Conduct, and Endangering the Life and Health of a Child.
He was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
