SPENCER, IA – Floodwaters have triggered a dam failure in southern Minnesota and prompted evacuations and rescues in numerous communities in Iowa and South Dakota.
Fox News reports that the Little Sioux River has overflowed its banks, flooding roads in Spencer, Iowa. People are getting around there using boats.
Adding to the troubles, water and sewer systems are overwhelmed in many of these Midwestern towns.
Over three million people live in areas affected by the flooding, from Omaha, Nebraska to St. Paul, Minnesota.
More storms are expected across the Midwest throughout the week.
