PEORIA, Ill. – Frank Abdnour wants to be re-elected as Peoria Township Supervisor, a position he held from 2017-2021.
Abdnour made the announcement on Tuesday, saying “I feel that I know this office and its responsibilities as well, or better, than anyone else seeking the position and I want to build on the many programs we implemented during my term to help the citizens of Peoria Township.”
Abdnour plans to run as an independent, saying the duties of Township Supervisor should be non-partisan, and he believes party politics should not play a role in it.
“As we kick off our campaign, we will discuss issues important to the office today and moving forward, and I am confident that we can build on our previous successes. I have a proven record as your township supervisor. The citizens of Peoria Township deserve a committed public servant to be their township Supervisor,” Abdnour says.
