PEORIA, Ill. โ Felony indictments have been given to two men after their pit bulls allegedly injured a couple near Bradley University.
A Peoria County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 45-year-old Robert Cady and 23-year-old Gabrelle Jones each on two counts of Failure to Comply Resulting in Serious Physical Injury. The charge is a Class Four felony.
The alleged incident occurred on Moss Avenue on June 27th, when multiple pit bulls they owned were allegedly running loose and attacked a couple walking their dog.
The stateโs attorneyโs office previously stated that Cady and Jones were ordered by Peoria County Animal Protection Services to confine their dogs. Thatโs after the dogs were deemed dangerous animals after being involved in other biting incidents.
Jones is due back in court for an arraignment hearing on August 14th, with Cadyโs hearing the next day.
