PEORIA, Ill. – An investigation is underway after two people were shot in South Peoria Saturday night.
Peoria Police say officers responded just after 11:00 P.M.after a total of 14 shots were fired in the area of MacArthur Percy Baker Junior Avenue.
Police learned en route of a 34-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back in the area of Adrian G. Hinton and Saratoga, and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Peoria Police say a discarded firearm was found in the area of Saratoga and John H Gwynn.
A 23-year-old male victim found by police outside of a house in the area of Percy Baker and Saratoga was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have no suspects.
