PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been found guilty in the murder of his wife in 2019.
25 News reports 68-year-old Michael Vorrath was found guilty Wednesday, after there were two previous mistrials.
His wife, 60-year-old Nancy Vorrath, was found unresponsive in her Lexington Court home with her head in a utility sink full of water.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood listed her cause of death as drowning, but had also mentioned multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Attorney’s for Michael Vorrath claimed that he tried to save her.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
