PEORIA, Ill. – A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection to a South Peoria shooting that occurred Friday night.
Peoria Police says Andrew Drummond was arrested after he turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting occurred just before 9:45 P.M. Friday in the area of Kettelle and South Western Avenue.
Police initially did not find a victim or suspects, but learned that a 16-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Drummond is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Handgun Under 21.
He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
