PEORIA, Ill. – A 16-year-old was arrested after shots were reportedly fired at a Peoria Police officer Thursday night.
Police say officers were dispatched at around 9:15 P.M. on reports of a man with a gun to the area of Ann and Oregon.
Three males were observed nearby, with one allegedly firing shots at an officer, before the three fled on foot.
Peoria Police say there were no injuries.
The three were taken into custody after a brief foot chase, with a discarded handgun found in the area of Proctor and Manual.
A 16-year-old was arrested on charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. A 14-year-old and an 18-year-old were released.
The 16-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

PEORIA, Ill. – Three people are in custody after someone fired a gun at police officers Thursday night in Peoria.
Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called around 9:20 p.m. to the 2800 block of W. Ann Street on a report of someone with a gun.
Officers saw three males walking down the street, when one of them fired a gun at police. No one was injured.
The ages of the suspects were not released. More information is expected to come from Peoria Police later on Friday.
