PEORIA Ill. – The Peoria Police Department is looking for suspects, following a shooting which occurred early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South Western Avenue and West Howett Street, just after 1:45am — on a Shot Spotter alert of six rounds being fired.
Once arriving on location, no suspects were found.
Shortly later, officers were informed that a 32-year-old male was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police did locate a crime scene in the area where the Shot Spotter alert occurred – but have no suspect information at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
