PEORIA, Ill. – The Ohio man behind a manhunt after allegedly stealing a vehicle with a child inside it in Peoria is back in the county after his out-of-state arrest.
Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins says 45-year-old Victor Farris was booked in the county jail Monday.
Farris was arrested in Monroe County, Iowa on September 16th after being on the run from police for about a week-and-a-half.
Farris is accused of taking the vehicle on September 5th, with the three-year-old child inside it found safe later in the day at a Bartonville gas station.
He is charged with Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Kidnapping, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
